HOW LONG DOES A NEUROPSYCHOLOGICAL EVALUATION TAKE?

It depends on several factors, such as referral concerns, the complexity of your specific situation, your stamina, type of evaluation (for instance, forensic evaluations are lengthier than clinical ones), amongst others.

  • A standard clinical assessment lasts from 4-6 hours, with a few breaks during the day (if needed) and a lunch break. If you need multiple breaks, the evaluation may be prolonged.

  • Forensic assessments can last 8+ hours as these involve an extended interview and a longer test battery.

These are only estimates. If you need an abbreviated evaluation, Dr. Perez can complete a cognitive screening.
